THE SELECTION PROCESS
  • Limited to approximately 25 participants of voting age or older.

 

  • Seeking broad-based, non-partisan representation.

 

  • Applicants must complete the application and return it by the deadline date.

 

  • The Selection Committee will review all the applications and hold individual interviews.

 

  • Each applicant will be notified as to the time of their interview.

 

  • Notification of acceptance will be given approximately two weeks prior to beginning the program.

BLACK LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

CLASS OF 2017

The first Black Leadership Development Class began in 1982. As a trial effort that was highly successful, the BLDP grew out of the need to integrate blacks into economic base planning being conducted by the Miami Valley Regional Planning Council and the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

 

What role does Parity Inc. play in The Black Leadership Development Program?  

We facilitate the program by designing the program curriculum, selecting the participants and conducting the sessions.

 

What is the Goal of the BLDP?  

  • To develop an ongoing leadership pool for key roles in the community.  

  • To share expertise and knowledge.  

  • To sharpen leadership skills, educate, and motivate.  

  • To develop informational networks.

  • To serve the entire community.
